Post-Tension Design

Before any steel arrives on site, someone has to decide how the slab will actually behave. Our design service covers PT slab and beam design, transfer girder design, structural optimisation, and the shop drawings and calculations the site will build from. Optimisation here is not a marketing word. Getting the tendon profile and slab depth right is what determines how much concrete and steel the building consumes for the rest of its life.

Supply of Materials

Post-tensioning fails on programme more often than it fails on engineering, and late materials are usually why. We supply PT strands, anchors and wedges, ducts, grouting accessories, chairs and couplers, scheduled against the pour date rather than ordered once the rebar is already tied.

Installation

This is the stage where the design either survives contact with the site or does not. Our installation service covers tendon layout and fixing, anchor installation, strand threading, and close coordination with the reinforcement works. Tendons and rebar compete for the same space, and the difference between a smooth pour and a delayed one is usually whether those two trades were sequenced together or left to negotiate on the day.

Stressing Operations

Stressing is the moment the slab becomes post-tensioned. We carry out hydraulic jack stressing, monitor elongation against the calculated figures, and produce the stressing reports that the consultant will want to see before the next floor is released. Every reading is recorded as it happens. A stressing record assembled after the fact is not a record, it is a reconstruction.

Grouting Works

Grouting is the least visible service on this list and the one that decides how long the structure lasts. We handle cement grout preparation, duct grouting, and grout testing, filling the ducts completely so the tendons are protected from corrosion for the life of the building. Voids left in a duct do not announce themselves. They surface years later as a repair bill.

Inspection and Testing

Consultants sign off on evidence, not assurances. We provide material testing, anchor inspection, load testing, and support for third-party verification, producing the documentation that lets a project move forward without a dispute about what was actually done.

Not every post-tensioned slab we work on is new. We investigate existing tendons, carry out PT tendon repair and replacement, and deliver structural strengthening where a building needs to carry more than it was designed for, or has developed problems that need diagnosing before they are priced.

Why Does Post-Tensioning Need a Specialist Contractor, Not a General One?

Conventional reinforced concrete is forgiving. Post-tensioning is not forgiving in the same way, and that difference is why the trade needs a genuine specialist rather than a main contractor picking it up as incidental scope.

Post-tension specialist capability and technical coordination

A tendon at the wrong height changes how the slab carries load. An elongation reading outside tolerance means something is wrong in the duct, the jack or the concrete, and the answer matters before the next pour, not after it. A duct that grouts incompletely creates a problem nobody sees for a decade.

That is why post-tensioning is a specialist trade in every market where it is common, and why the shortage of genuine specialists in the UAE causes real programme damage. A main contractor who takes post-tensioning on as an incidental scope usually discovers midway that they have bought a coordination problem rather than a slab.

Since starting operations in 2024 we have completed more than 40 projects with a team of over 50. Because our post-tensioning solutions run from design through to testing under one roof, there is no gap between scopes for a problem to fall into. When elongation figures need explaining, the people who set the tendon profile are the same people at the jack. That single fact removes most of the arguments that slow a post-tensioned project down.

We work primarily with consultants, main contractors and developers, which shapes how we operate. Documentation is prepared to be handed over rather than chased, and programme dates are treated as commitments rather than aspirations. Design, installation, stressing and grouting on two residential blocks.

Two adjacent plots in the Eastern Sector, each a G+M+4+R residential building, each carrying roughly 4,200 to 4,300 square metres of post-tensioned slab. Both were designed, installed, stressed and grouted by the same team, which is what allowed the second building to follow the first without relearning anything about the client's requirements or the consultant's preferences.

Across all of this work our post-tensioned slabs have run between 220mm and 280mm thick, with steel ratios between 55 and 80 kg per cubic metre. Those are not marketing numbers. They are what the drawings actually called for once each building's spans, loads and geometry were worked through.
