Post Tension Company Dubai PT Design, Installation and Stressing for High-Rise Projects
Premium Post Tension Concrete Works works as a post tension contractor in Dubai for the contractors, consultants and developers building there. We handle the full scope, from the structural design that positions each tendon through to the grouting and testing that closes the file.
We are based in Ajman, and we take projects throughout the United Arab Emirates, Dubai included. We would rather state that plainly than claim a Dubai office we do not have. What we bring to a Dubai project is a specialist team that does nothing except post-tensioning, arriving with its own design, its own crews and its own documentation.

Why Does Dubai Construction Rely So Heavily on Post-Tensioning?
Dubai builds tall and dense, and both push structural engineering toward post-tensioning.
Tight plots, tall towers. Every column has a cost when floor plates are this constrained.
The reason is straightforward economics repeated across many floors. A post-tensioned slab can span further with less depth, which means fewer columns and a thinner floor plate. On a single-storey building that is a modest saving. On a tower it compounds: every 50mm shaved off the slab depth is 50mm returned to floor-to-floor height, which across forty levels either buys additional lettable floors within the same building envelope or reduces the height the structure has to reach in the first place.
That logic is visible in the way the city has been built. In Business Bay and Downtown Dubai, where towers sit tightly packed on constrained plots, floor plates have to work hard and columns are expensive in a very literal sense, because each one occupies space that could be sold or leased. In Dubai Marina, the same pressure applies with the added complication of waterfront ground conditions. Across the newer high-density residential districts such as Jumeirah Village Circle, the driver shifts slightly: the buildings are lower, but the economics of maximising apartments per plot are just as sharp.
Then there are the structures where post-tensioning stops being an optimisation and becomes close to unavoidable. Any building with parking below and apartments or offices above has a column grid problem, because a car park wants columns where a residential floor plate does not. Resolving that requires a transfer structure, and transfer slabs and transfer girders are among the clearest cases for post-tensioning anywhere in construction. Dubai is full of buildings shaped exactly this way.

What Changes When You Post-Tension a High-Rise Rather Than a Low-Rise?
Five factors that scale with height, and one that has nothing to do with it.
Where the column grid changes. Transfer levels carry the highest forces in most buildings.
Repetition becomes the dominant factor
On a four-storey building, each slab is close to a one-off. On a forty-storey tower, the same operation repeats forty times, and small inefficiencies multiply accordingly. A stressing sequence that takes half a day longer than it should costs twenty days across the building.
Transfer levels concentrate the difficulty
Where the column grid changes, usually above parking, the transfer structure carries loads from everything above it through a completely different arrangement below. These are the highest-force post-tensioned elements in most buildings.
Tendon congestion at column heads
Taller buildings mean heavier loads, which means more tendons, which means more steel competing for the same space where tendons pass over columns. That congestion is a design problem that shows up as a site problem if it was not resolved on the drawing.
Consultant scrutiny scales with height
On a tall building, an error on a lower floor sits underneath everything built afterwards. Documentation expectations on high-rise work are heavier: elongation records per tendon, cube results tied to each stressing operation, and pre-pour inspection sign-offs that hold up when reviewed months later.
Coastal exposure is real here
Dubai is a coastal city, and chloride-driven corrosion of prestressing steel is the long-term durability question for any post-tensioned structure in this environment. It is decided almost entirely by whether ducts were grouted completely, which is invisible once the work is done.
See our Post-Tension Design and Inspection and Testing service pages for how this is handled in practice. For typical slab depths on Dubai towers, read our guide to post tension slab thickness.

Is Premium Post Tension Licensed to Work on Dubai Projects?
Full project details are available on request when we quote.
Licensed contractor
Registered for concrete works and pre-tension construction units building and execution works. Licence details are provided with every quotation.

We work to Post-Tensioning Institute practice across design, materials, installation, stressing and grouting.
Post-tensioning is the whole of what we do
We are not a general contractor with a post-tensioning division on the side. The crew that arrives on a Dubai site does this work every week rather than occasionally.

Choosing a contractor
How Do You Compare Post Tension Companies in Dubai?
Four questions separate a post-tensioning specialist from a contractor offering it on the side.
Is the design done in-house?
Shop drawings, tendon profiles and calculations produced by the team that will install them, so comments from the consultant are answered without a third party in the loop.
Does one team install, stress and grout?
Every handover between companies is a point where records go missing and programme slips. One team from the first tendon to the final grout closes that gap.
How is the quotation priced?
Quantities taken off your drawings can be checked line by line. A single rate per square metre cannot, because steel follows spans and loads, not floor area.
Are records handed over as the work happens?
Elongation readings, grout volumes and cube results should reach the consultant at each hold point on every floor of the tower, not at the end of the project.
Common questions
FAQs About Choosing Between Post Tension Companies in Dubai
Do you serve Dubai?
Yes. We work across the UAE, and Dubai is a short drive from our base. We mobilise crews to Dubai projects the same way any specialist subcontractor operating across the emirates does.
Where is your team based?
Ajman, and we work across the whole of the UAE. We are candid about that rather than advertising a Dubai address we do not hold. What arrives on your site is a dedicated post-tensioning team with its own design, its own crews and its own documentation.
Does being based in Ajman affect response time on a Dubai site?
In practice, not meaningfully. Ajman to most Dubai project locations is well within normal daily travel for a construction crew, and post-tensioning is scheduled work rather than emergency call-out work. Stressing and grouting operations are planned against pour dates weeks in advance.
Can you work on a high-rise or only mid-rise buildings?
Both. The technically demanding part of high-rise post-tensioning is rarely the height itself. It is the transfer condition where the column grid changes above parking, and the tendon congestion at column heads under heavier loads. Taller buildings repeat that engineering across more floors rather than fundamentally changing it.
Can you take over a Dubai project mid-way?
Yes, though we will inspect and review before agreeing. If tendons are already installed, we need to understand what was done before we put our name on the stressing records.
