Post Tension Grouting Services UAE Complete Duct Grouting and Tendon Protection
Grouting is the last operation in a post-tensioned slab and the one nobody ever sees again. That combination makes it the easiest stage to do badly and the most expensive stage to have done badly, because the consequences do not appear during construction. They appear a decade later, as corrosion inside a duct nobody can open.
We provide post tension grouting services across the UAE: cement grout preparation, duct grouting, and grout testing with results recorded for the project file. Our base is Ajman and our DED Ajman licence covers every emirate. Each emirate has its own page on this site for local market context: Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.

Ajman track record
Where Has Premium Post Tension Carried Out Grouting Works?
Our grouting work sits on the same four Ajman buildings where we handled the design, materials, installation and stressing, which is exactly the sequence that makes grouting go well. By the time we grout a duct, we already know how that duct was laid, whether it took any damage during the pour, and what happened during stressing.
In Al Yasmeen, in the Eastern Sector, two adjacent G+M+4+R residential buildings. In Al Jurf, in the Northern Sector, a G+4+R residential building and an 11-level structure built as G+2P+8T+R with two parking floors. Grouting a building of that height means repeating the operation floor by floor, and a duct on level nine has to be grouted as completely as one on level two.
Recent project highlights
Which Grouting Works Have We Recently Completed?
Real grouting works, shown as reference points rather than a catalogue.
Two residential buildings, Al Yasmeen
Roughly 4,200 and 4,300 square metres of post-tensioned slab, both G+M+4+R, grouted after stressing on each floor.
An 11-level structure with parking, Al Jurf
About 9,340 square metres, G+2P+8T+R. Longer tendon runs across the larger floor plates meant more attention to venting, because the longer the duct, the more opportunity there is for grout to bridge and leave a void behind it.
A G+4+R residential building, Al Jurf
Roughly 3,570 square metres, with shorter duct runs and a correspondingly simpler grouting sequence.
220mm to 280mm slab thicknesses
Slab thicknesses across these buildings ran 220mm to 280mm. Thinner slabs mean tighter duct arrangements and less room for error when placing vents, which is a practical detail that rarely appears in a service description but decides whether grouting goes cleanly.
Technical expertise
Why Does Incomplete Grouting Threaten a Structure Decades Later?
Six factors, and a void anywhere in the sequence is the one that matters.
What the grout is actually for
Grout does two jobs. It bonds the tendon to the surrounding concrete so the two act together, and it seals the strand away from moisture and chlorides. In a coastal climate the second job is the one that determines how long the structure lasts.
Voids, and why they are the whole problem
If grout bridges across a duct and traps an air pocket, that section of strand sits unprotected inside a sealed void. Nothing about the finished slab reveals it. The strand is high-tensile steel under sustained load, which is precisely the condition in which corrosion does the most damage, and a tendon that fails does not fail gently.
Grout mix and bleed
The mix has to be fluid enough to travel the full duct length and stable enough not to separate on the way. A grout that bleeds leaves water at high points, and that water leaves a void when it eventually disperses.
Venting
Vents at high points and at the ends let air escape ahead of the advancing grout. Vent placement is not a formality. It is what determines whether the duct fills completely or merely appears to.
Grouting after stressing, not before
The tendon must be free to move during stressing, so grouting follows. It also has to follow reasonably promptly, because a stressed but ungrouted tendon is temporarily unprotected steel.
Testing rather than assuming
Grout is tested for fluidity and strength, and results are recorded. Assumed grout coverage is the thing that produces repair bills in fifteen years.
See our Repair and Rehabilitation service for what a void discovered years later actually involves.
Grouting procedure
What Is Our Post Tension Grouting Procedure, Step by Step?
Nine steps, confirmed by full discharge at the far vent, not by the calendar.
Confirm stressing is complete and accepted
Grouting follows stressing, and only once the stressing records for that tendon are in order.
Prepare and seal the anchorages
Strand tails trimmed, anchorage sealed so grout does not simply escape at the ends.
Check duct continuity
Ducts are checked to confirm they are clear and unobstructed before any grout is mixed.
Mix to the specified proportions
Grout is prepared to the mix design, not by eye.
Test the mix
Fluidity and sampling for strength testing, carried out on the grout that is actually going into the ducts.
Pump from one end, continuously
Grout is injected from one end and pumped without interruption, because a stop-start injection is how bridging and voids happen.
Vent progressively
Vents are closed in sequence as grout reaches them, confirming the duct has filled along its length rather than only at the ends.
Confirm full discharge
Grouting continues until grout of the same consistency emerges at the far vent, which is the practical evidence the duct is full.
Seal, make good and record
Vents sealed, anchorage pockets made good, and the grouting record compiled with the test results for the consultant.
See Stressing Operations and Inspection and Testing for the stages either side of grouting.
Tested before it goes in, not assumed once it's out of sight.

Why clients choose us
Why Do Contractors Trust Us With the Grouting Stage?
Because grouting is the stage where a contractor is most exposed and least able to verify what they bought. Once the grout is in, nobody can inspect it without cutting into the slab. The only protection is a contractor who follows the procedure when nobody is watching, and records that they did.
Our practical advantage is continuity. We laid those ducts, we were on the deck during the pour, and we stressed those tendons. If a duct took damage during construction, we know where. A grouting subcontractor arriving cold has to assume every duct is sound, because they have no basis to think otherwise.
We also test the grout and record the results rather than treating grouting as a task that either happened or did not. With more than 40 completed projects since 2024 and a team of over 50, that includes grouting the longer tendon runs on an 11-level structure, where venting discipline matters most.
Common questions
FAQs About Post-Tension Grouting in UAE Construction
All of the UAE. Our DED Ajman licence covers every emirate, and Ajman is our home base where most of our completed work sits. Each emirate has its own page on this site.
For two reasons. Grout bonds the tendon to the structure so the two act together, and it protects the strand from moisture and chlorides. In a coastal environment the protective function is what governs the structure's service life.
A void leaves a length of stressed steel exposed inside a sealed cavity, which is close to ideal conditions for corrosion. It cannot be detected visually from outside, and it will not announce itself until the damage is advanced. This is the main reason grouting procedure is worth being pedantic about.
Promptly. Between stressing and grouting, the strand is under full load with no permanent corrosion protection, so the gap should be as short as the programme reasonably allows.
Yes. We will check duct continuity and review the stressing records before starting, because grouting a duct of unknown condition is not something we would want recorded under our name.
